Hungry like Lake Tahoe: Duran Duran added to Harveys concert series

Harveys Lake Tahoe has added one of the biggest acts of the ’80s to the lineup for its upcoming summer concert series.

Duran Duran will take the stage at Harvey’s Outdoor Arena Friday, Sept. 13, as part of the 2019 Lake Tahoe Summer Concert Series, officials announced Monday.

The band rose to stardom in the ’80s amid a wave of British pop artists and groups. At the time Duran Duran were early pioneers in the world of music videos.

Known for hits including “Hungry Like the Wolf,” “Rio,” “A View to a Kill,” “Save a Prayer,” “Girls on Film,” “Finest Hour” and “Come Undone,” the group has sold more than 100 million records in roughly four decades. The band also boasts 18 American hit singles.

Tickets for Duran Duran at Lake Tahoe range from $69.50 to $149.50, which does not include taxes and fees. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, May 17, at or

Other artists performing this summer include Dave Matthews Band, Lionel Richie, Pentatonix, Steve Miller Band, Jackson Browne, comedian Trevor Noah and country artists Blake Shelton, Tim McGraw, Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan and Lee Brice.
