After a day on the slopes, make sure to check out some of the unique activities going on around the basin. From Chinese acrobatics to a Santa-themed charity run, this weekend at the lake will be anything but boring.

5th Annual Masquerade Ball | Dec. 14 | South Lake Tahoe

Grab a mask and head to the American Legion in South Lake Tahoe for the 5th Annual Masquerade Ball this Friday. The event features multiple DJs, a photo booth and “well whiskey so cheap you’re going to regret it the next day.”

Santa Fun Run for SOS Outreach | Dec. 15 | South Lake Tahoe

Dress in your best Santa outfit and pound the pavement in South Lake Tahoe for the first-ever Santa Fun Run in support of SOS Outreach, a nonprofit that offers outdoor sports and leadership programs for youth. Participants will run up Ski Run Boulevard to Himmel Haus where they will be greeted with a warm fire, free sausage and drinks. The event costs $35 in advance or $40 on the day-of.
