We’ve all got our favorite haunts around Lake Tahoe — your go-to taco shop, burger joint, and Thai takeout spot, to name a few — but you won’t find that choice new eatery without breaking free from routine. So next time you’re hankering for a meal out, try one of these restaurants that recently opened in Lake Tahoe — and make sure to tag your best food photos with #TahoeMagazine!

Inclined Burger and Brew

Inclined Burger and Brew’s menu might be small, but the raves about it on social media and Yelp! are plentiful. Customers can choose from three burgers — ¼-pounder, ½-pounder or veggie burger — paired with tomato, grilled onion, cheese and a special sauce. Similar to In-N-Out, the burger can even be made “protein style” with a lettuce wrap instead of a bun, and sides include regular or garlic fries.

Inclined Burger and Brew is located at 901 Tahoe Blvd. Suite 2 in Incline Village.

Los Mexicanos Grill and Cantina

Los Mexicanos opened its second South Shore location in the Round Hill Shopping Center this fall. Not your average a-la-carte menu common in Mexican restaurants, Los Mexicanos features plated meals served with warm tortillas, like the steak fajitas and chicken mole. Pro tip: Try the house margarita — it’s the perfect balance of sweet and salty.

Los Mexicanos Grill and Cantina is located at 212 Elks Point Rd. Suite 330 in Zephyr Cove.

Social House Craft Sandwiches

Social House features a constantly evolving selection of unique sandwiches made with freshly baked bread, smoked meats and vegetarian options. Tucked inside Heavenly Village, the gourmet deli by day transforms into a 20s-style speakeasy by night with bespoke cocktails and delicious frozen drinks.

Social House Craft Sandwiches is located at 1001 Heavenly Village Way in South Lake Tahoe.

Tomaato’s Pizza in Incline Village has reopened under the same ownership with a new menu and new name — FUMO by Austin’s Wood Fired Eatery. The restaurant has added a breakfast menu, with items like cheddar cheese biscuits and gravy and croissant French toast, and will continue to serve up delicious wood fired pizzas and plates by night, all with a focus on simple, fresh and locally sourced food.

FUMO is located at 120 Country Club Dr. #61 in Incline Village.

Crazy Good Bakery and Café

Crazy Good Bakery opened its doors at the end of September in South Lake Tahoe. All made from scratch, the bakery lives up to its name with unique scones, cupcakes, muffins, cookies, cakes, quiches and more. The delectable doughnuts are topped with fresh fruit glazes and toppings, like the blackberry and apple pie doughnuts. The jalapeno cheddar and sea salt bagels are other can’t-miss items.

Crazy Good Bakery and Café is located at 2040 Dunlap Dr. in South Lake Tahoe.
