The Rotary Club of Truckee’s fundraising event at the Olympic Valley Lodge has raised over $1.5 million since its inception for local nonprofits all while hosting a lively evening for attendees. Dinner tickets are $150.
Salmon Run | Taylor Creek Visitor Center | South Lake Tahoe

Taylor Creek, one of Lake Tahoe’s 63 tributaries, is flush with bright-red kokanee salmon swimming upstream for spawning. Traverse the boardwalk along the creek to take in the giant schools of fish and possibly catch sight of an opportunistic black bear feeding as it prepares for hibernation.
David Spade | Oct. 20 | MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa in Stateline

Comedian David Spade is in Lake Tahoe this weekend for an adults-only stand-up show. The former “Saturday Night Live” cast member and “Tommy Boy” actor takes the stage Saturday at 8 p.m. in the MontBleu Showroom. Tickets start at $40.
Sunset Champagne Cruise | Ski Run Marina | South Lake Tahoe

Hop aboard the Safari Rose, an 80-foot classic yacht, for a two-hour sunset cruise. Enjoy complimentary champagne, beer, wine and gourmet hors d’oeuvres while taking in the views from the open-air top deck or comfy inside lounge en route to Emerald Bay. Tickets are $85.
Tahoe Terror at the Baldwin Estate | Oct. 19-21 | Tallac Historic Site in South Lake Tahoe

Tour the haunted grounds of the historic Baldwin Estate to experience the ghoulish thrills put on by the early 20th century Baldwin family and servants. Escorts will guide you through what they call “Lake Tahoe’s most haunted Halloween experience” while recounting the unsolved mysteries of the area. Tickets are $10.
